ALHAMBRA, IL-- Tonight wrapped up the 2011 Traverse city prospects tournament with the Blues beating the Columbus Blue Jackets in 2OT.
The Blue lost their 1st tournament game against the Rangers but while I was watching that game, a few players stood out. Rattie was the player I was most anxious to see, and he didn't disappoint. He was a very fluid skater and looked to be very offensive minded, but so did McRae. Of course, we all saw McRae this last year when he played with the Blues for part of the season due to injuries, but I wasn't all that impressed.
This tournament has changed my thinking.
McRae dominated in this tournament scoring 4 goals and recording 3 assists in 4 games as he helped lead the Blues to placing 3rd place with a 3-1-0 record.

Another bright spot for the Blues was goaltender Jake Allen who was nothing short of miraculous during the 3 games he played.Allen faced saved 104 shots and posted a .920 sv % and even though he allowed 9 goals his play is definitely a bright spot for the Blues organization.
Other Notable Performances
Ty Rattie: 2g, 4a
