Nikita Nikitin has been traded to the Columbus Blues Jackets for defenseman Kris Russell

The Blues have traded Nikita Nikitin for Kris Russell and it came after an exciting Blues game that resulted in a shootout loss

Nikitin played in 7 games for the Blues this year, and had 0 goals, 0 assists, and had a -5 rating.  This move really isn't all that surprising considering Nikitin had been benched the last 4 games.  Nikitin was disappointing for the Blues this year as he was often out of position and it led to opponent's goals.

Nikitin played in 48 NHL games, and scored 1 goal, 8 assists, and posted a -4 rating

The Blues acquired Kris Russell in this deal...

Russell has played in 12 games for the Blue Jackets this year.  He has 2 goals, 1 assist, and a -1 rating.
