ALHAMBRA, IL-- A new group has been reported by Jeremy Rutherford as having interest in the Blues.

The Blues have been for sale since March 16 and have yet to find someone willing to match their asking price ($180-$200 million).

The group consists of Max Chambers (Calgary businessman) and former 6 time Stanley cup champion Bryan Trottier and supposedly the group has all the finances to make this a quick process, but are they really interested?

How interested the group is, remains to be seen but the group has been in talks with Checketts and Game Plan LLC for at least a couple of weeks.

It is believed that new ownership could be in place by the Oct. 8th season opener but things will have to go smoothly and rapidly to meet that deadline.

Supposedly Crombeen was injured in a practice today when he was struck in the face/eye (reported by Lou Korac) and headed off the ice with a trainer. I do not know the extent of the injury, or even if hes injured so stay tuned on twitter ( @TrueBlueBlogger ) and I will have an update as soon as I find out more info.
